School Games Indoor Rowing Excitement!!!!

During the month of November we have run three Indoor Rowing Competitions at Light Hall School, Secondary Girls, Secondary Boys and Primary Schools.

Langley have dominated the Secondary Competitions winning 3 out of the 4 competitions, Year 10 Boys, Year 9 Girls and Year 10 Girls; with Tudor Grange winning the Year 9 Boys.

The most exciting event was the Primary Competition with 7 schools taking part and 3 schools bringing two teams. The noise level was through the ceiling with parents and pupils cheering on teams. It was great to see so many new schools taking part in this event. After a combination of individual races and relay races the schools who managed to the row the furthest distances were:

Ulverley A Boys team and Monkspath A Girls team, with the winning girls team rowing 179 meters further than all the boys and girls team in the event!!!

Winning teams will go through to represent South Solihull SSP at Rugby in the Level 3 Finals on 26th and 27th March.
